National
Childminding Week (22nd – 27th March )is upon us again! This year
childminders are demonstrating how we encourage our children to go out and play
as much as possible with theLet’s
Get Out and Play!theme. A week of fun activities nationally will
showcase quality childminding and encourage childminders and the children in
their care to get out and about. All week, the Galway City & County
Childcare Committee will be publicising the good, quality work done by Galway
Childminders.
In
particular, all Childminders are asked to participate in Childminding Week by
working with the children on a fun Garden
Nature Trail. Children and their minders are to work in their outdoor play
area to complete a Garden Nature Trail.
Materials from the Nature Trails will be displayed at the Childminding Seminar
on Saturday, 27th March in the Carlton Hotel. A prize will be given
for the most inspiring collection!
Quality
Childminding means a commitment to continuous training – putting the children
first in all aspects of care.
