The Play Bus Childcare Services facilitate the provision of services for a range of communities and families. These services are funded by HSE West and staffing grants are provided by the EOCP.

The services are participative, involving the pre-school children (aged 2 1/2 years to 5 years)  and parents in planning and delivering the services. The services are flexible and accommodate a wide variety of groups, prioritising those without access to childcare services.

The Mobile Play Buses provide capacity building within communities leading to the establishment of permanent services. Parents have the opportunity to seek employment, gain work experience in childcare on the service or attend training on the play bus while their children are being cared for.

This innovative service facilitates integration of children into mainstream services. Fees will be affordable and accessible to parents.
