Community Childcare Subvention Scheme Starting September 2010.

Band A  Parents:

v     Parents who are in receipt of social welfare payment.

v     Parents in receipt of Family Income Supplement (FIS).

v     Also HSE referrals where the HSE pays the balance of the fee

v     Parents in receipt of job Seekers Benefit/Assistance will qualify for up to a maximum of 5 hours of childcare per day.

Band B Parents:

v     Parents holding Medical or GP visit cards.

v     Parents verified by the OMCYA as Band A in the previous years return, but who would no longer be eligible for subvention, may also attract subvention at this rate.

Band C Parents:

v     Negotiations are underway-soon to be confirmed- to ring fence free childcare places for qualifying parents, in participating services, attending FAS or VEC courses

Band D Parents:

v     Parents paying the full rate.
