Early Years Capital 2015 funding announced

James O’Reilly TD, Minister for Children & Youth Affairs has announced the launch of capital funding totalling €7 million for Early Years services, parent and toddler groups and childminders.

 

The Minister announced that €5 million was being made available under the EYC2015 for grants specifically for community/not for profit childcare services:

 

Dr. James Reilly T.D., Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, has today announced the launch of capital funding totalling €7 million for Early Years services 

 

EYC2015 is open to early years facilities currently providing services under at least one of the three Department of Children & Youth Affairs National Government programmes, CCS, TEC or ECCE.

 

Funding will be available under 4 Strands.

 

Community Based Only:

Strand 1: Large Scale Capital funding Relocation/Major Refurbishment of early years services. Grants in the region of €500,000.

Strand 2: Essential Maintenance of early years services for medium scale works. Grants up to maximum €50,000.

Strand 3: Quality Improvement & Sustainability for early years services for medium scale works to improve the Building Energy Rating (BER) of facilities. Grants up to maximum €50,000.
 

Private and Community-based:

Strand 4: Quality Improvement. Grants up to maximum €500 for the upgrade of ICT equipment.

NB Strand 1 applicant must submit a pre- application by 6th May 2015.
