Plean Theagmhais Chriticiúil do Sheirbhísí Cúram Leanaí Seolta

“Plean phraiticiúil – is féidir é a oscailt agus a úsáid ar an toirt”, dár le Mary McLoughlin, Príomhoifigeach, An Roinn Leanaí agus Gnóthaí Óige, le linn de a bheith ag seoladh an chéad Teimpléad Phlean Theagmhais Chriticiúil do sheirbhísí cúram leanaí. First ever Emergency Plan for Childcare Providers launched

“A practical toolkit you can open up and use immediately”, declared Mary McLoughlin, Principal Officer in the Department of Children and Youth Affairs, while launching the first ever Critical Incident Plan: A Toolkit for Childcare Providers in Galway. The innovative plan led by Galway City and County Childcare Committee addresses emergency planning and response for a range of childcare emergencies. The toolkit includes a simple, step-by-step booklet and poster to help providers plan and prepare for unexpected events. Ms. McLoughlin also highlighted the increased professionalism of the childcare sector reflected in the development of the Critical Incident Plan Toolkit. “This is a valuable addition to resources already available to childcare service providers.”   Click here to access more information.

More training events will be held by childcare committees nationwide, using a national training programme, developed so that all childcare providers in Ireland may be assisted to create customized Critical Incident Plans. For further information contact your local Childcare Committee.

The Critical Incident Plan: A Toolkit for Childcare Providers is the result of collaboration between: Galway, Roscommon, Mayo, Fingal, Limerick City, Sligo, Westmeath, Longford, North Tipperary and Wicklow Childcare Committees; HSE West; Childminding Ireland and Early Childhood Ireland. Funding was granted through the Department of Children and Youth Affairs (DCYA) Central Fund.
